Is social media just another fad, or is the greatest thing ever happened since the industrial revolution. The rise of social media is the greatest proof that heralds the ‘people-driven’ economic. And yes, it’s better than porn, more people use social media than looking for online adult entertainment.

Unfortunately for me, my GMail is on Google Apps so will take longer but please let me know if you have Buzz running on your account.
I have collected several news articles around the web for you to check out:
Every web or graphic design brief, no matter the size, should be treated as a full-scale project. Adopting the fundamental project management methodologies will ensure your project is delivered to the specified requirements/quality, and save everybody’s time and resources to complete each project.
One of the most common practice I’d like to share with you today is segmenting your project into 4 essential life cycle stages – from pre-planning, planning, development to finish.
Every kind of project must go through the 4 stages. As the above diagram depicts, the life cycle is represented by a pyramid climbing upwards to the finishing stage. Pre-planning and planning sits at the bottom as the core foundation of your project, the more time and effort you dedicate to building your plans the stronger your project management becomes.
For this article I’d like to share with you my thoughts on project management, and how it is applied for eCommerce projects and web design (or any design) briefs.

On the other hand, there are also voices criticizing if the joint venture has sufficient budget, and at the same time YouA’s (youa.baidu.com) development, Baidu’s C2C online shopping platform, is also the center of attention. For those who do not know me yet, please to meet you, my name is Oliver Su and I am a web designer with most of my career experience in eCommerce project management.
I started working on Oliver Designs (oliversu.com), my personal freelance design website, since December 2009. After I left my previous employment as project manager in July 2009, I spent a lot of time contemplating on my future career – what am I going to do? where am I going? what do I really want to do?… and I kept thinking. After 6 months of musing I am still not sure, maybe I will never be sure what I am meant to be doing, who knows? [ Continue reading this post » ]
Recently I’ve heard local news that a little girl near Whakatane was attacked by 2 vicious pit bulls. A brave women nearby ran up to save her and was also bitten very bad in the process. Consequently, the girl went through 10 hours of surgery, the 2 pit bulls were put down and the owner (according to the radio news) was fined $1,100. I’m not sure if further charges would be press but, the girl is most certain to be scarred for life, if $1,100 is all the owner gets away with then I will be very disappointed with the justice system.
Wake up people! Look at the source of the problem.
There has been a lot of pit bull related incidents, and often quite brutally depicted, and people have been voicing about banning and putting down these animals – in my opinion, no one has really looked hard enough to solve from the inner core of the problem.
Deco Daddy - one of my favorite orange designs in this article
I found a great article at Smashing Buzz showcasing 50 exceptional orange web designs.
Orange is one of my favorite colors, because somehow I’m quite attached to anything that is orange flavored (Fanta and orange flavored Miranda, candy, cake and so forth).
To me the orange color is a visual flavor that bursts with vitality, energy and a lot of warmth. The designs being showcased on this post boldly uses orange with only subtle presence of complimentary colors.
I enjoy and loathe working with online marketers/consultants when going through the design. I truly appreciate usability conventions and their benefit to usability to the public. As a rule of thumb, the consultants made sure the design is made for internet users with computer literacy at the lowest denominator – which is really nice of them but this also lowers your design’s ‘cool factor’.
